“Yuzuru Hanyu ICE STORY 2023 ‘GIFT’ at Tokyo Dome supported by SEKISEI” to be held at Tokyo Dome on February 26, 2023 (Sunday), will be held nationwide on February 27 (Monday). Therefore, it was decided to view it at the movie theater.
After turning professional in November and December of 2022, Yuzuru Hanyu successfully held his first ice show, “PROLOGUE.” Furthermore, it announced that the final performance would lead to a solo Tokyo Dome event, “GIFT,” in February 2023. “GIFT” will be a show on an unprecedented scale where Yuzuru Hanyu sets foot on the most critical stage in Japan, the Tokyo Dome, and delivers a “gift” of appreciation to the audience after finishing the prologue.
The overall production, including the title and performance composition, will be directed by Yuzuru Hanyu. The direction will be handled by MIKIKO, known for her latest live show that combines technology and physical expression with Perfume and ELEVENPLAY. Based on the story and program written by Yuzuru Hanyu himself, this will be a challenge to create a magnificent show that no one has ever seen.
The live viewing event was previously announced, and due to its popularity, a Delayed Viewing (re-screening) will also be held the next day on an emergency basis. So those who could not attend due to schedule conflicts and those who watched the show at the Tokyo Dome can now experience it again at the cinema!
