Lego Japan Corporation will begin selling an adult-oriented Lego® set, “Lego® Ideas BTS Dynamite,” as a tribute to BTS starting on March 1, 2023 (Wednesday).

“Dynamite” is a globally popular hit song by BTS that topped the US Billboard Hot 100 chart and has been played more than 1 billion times on YouTube.

The adult-oriented Lego® set, “Lego® Ideas BTS Dynamite,” is a set that features the seven members of BTS and faithfully reproduces the scenes from the iconic music video of the song using 749 pieces of Lego blocks.

You can immerse yourself in the world of the music video, including a disco, donut shop, and dynamic dance, while assembling the Lego® set and playing music.

This set incorporates BTS’s creative expressions, such as a vibrant donut shop, an ice cream truck, and a record store. In addition, each building can be fully detached, allowing you to play with and decorate them individually.

Furthermore, the world’s most prominent Korean boy band BTS has become a Lego® block Minifigure for the first time. The members, RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook, will show off their synchronized singing and dancing on the Lego® block stage.

This LEGO® idea set was conceived by Josh (20) from Indiana and Jacob (21) from New York, who are both LEGO® fans and friends. Their love for BTS and passion for building with LEGO® bricks came together, and they collaborated to bring this LEGO® set to life.

Jacob, one of the creators, commented on the development process: “Josh was in charge of assembly and design, and as a big fan of BTS, I told him what was necessary and what details were important. It was gratifying to work.”

Josh, one of the creators, commented on the development process: “Jacob has knowledge of BTS and was able to give me appropriate instructions as I assembled. I repeatedly watched the music video and tried to express its essence with LEGO® bricks. When this project went viral overnight, it was surreal.”

Comment from Federico Begher, responsible for LEGO Product Group, on the development of the LEGO®, set: “When I saw Josh and Jacob’s colorful design, I thought it would be a hit.

And it was proven by how quickly it achieved 10,000 votes in the LEGO® Ideas voting process. BTS fans were already supporting this design, so we must be as faithful to the original as possible. This set emphasizes creativity, passion, and above all, fun.

We look forward to seeing fans assemble and display it.”

Additionally, as a purchase bonus for this set, a limited quantity of BTS unique record-shaped postcards and sticker sets will be given away. As the amount is limited, the offer will end when supplies run out.
