The Ashikaga Flower Park, operated by Ashikaga Flower Resort, is currently in full bloom with its iconic wisteria flowers. Due to the warmer weather that began in late March, the wisteria flowers bloomed earlier than ever in the park’s observation history.
With temperatures expected to rise even further, approaching those of midsummer, the flowers are anticipated to bloom even more beautifully in the coming days. Therefore, they recommend visiting the park as soon as possible.
The “Great Wisteria (大藤)” and “White Wisteria (白藤)” is expected to bloom until the first half of Golden Week fully. As of April 18th, 2023, the Great Wisteria is in full bloom, the Light Pink Wisteria is at its peak, the Purple Wisteria is at full bloom, the White Wisteria has just started blooming, and the Yellow Wisteria is still in bud.
In addition to wisteria, other flowers in full bloom include azaleas, weeping cherry blossoms, lupines, dogwood, nemophila, and large-flowered roses. All photos included were taken on April 17th and 18th, 2023.
