Upshtar Co., Ltd. will operate Japan’s first-afternoon tea bus tour in collaboration with the runway musical “Fashion Freak Show,” which depicts the life of world-renowned fashion designer Jean-Paul Gaultier from May 1st to 31st. Before the May operation, a limited reservation of 60 seats per day will be available on the official website starting from April 15th (Sat).
This dream collaboration offers a special bus tour that allows you to experience the world of the “Fashion Freak Show” with all five senses. The bus’s interior is decorated with shocking pink bougainvillea and ivy to create an avant-garde jungle atmosphere. For the food, you can enjoy original cookies that symbolize this afternoon tea and glamorous cupcakes reminiscent of the costumes in the show.
The bus’s interior is themed around “Shocking Pink x Avant-Garde Jungle.” The shocking pink bougainvillea, which combines beauty, strength, and glamor, is combined with abundant decorations of vines to create a unique world that embodies Gaultier’s avant-garde jungle vision.
About Jean Paul Gaultier
Jean-Paul Gaultier made a striking debut in fashion in 1976 with his prêt-à-porter collection under his eponymous brand, “Jean Paul Gaultier.” In the early 1980s, he signed a licensing agreement with Onward Kashiyama and has since been known as a Japanophile. He also served as a designer for Hermès from 2004. Over 200 costumes, including haute couture pieces featured in Paris Fashion Week, are showcased in the production.
