Comment from Ryohei Suzuki (鈴木亮平)
Ryohei Suzuki’s comment encourages tourists to explore Nara’s Kasuga Taisha Shrine and Takahata area, where the city and nature blend seamlessly. He notes that the area boasts a unique blend of history and nature, with an ancient virgin forest protected within the shrine grounds and a charming town nearby. Suzuki believes that this area is one of the few places in the world where such a combination exists, and he invites visitors to experience its charm themselves. He recommends taking a morning walk in the area and enjoying the refreshing air.

Outline of “Iza Iza Nara”
JR Tokai’s Nara tourism campaign, “Iza Iza Nara,” began in May 2022.
Nara is a destination that blends over 1,300 years of charm with the excitement and energy of present-day inhabitants. The more you learn about Nara, the more fascinating it becomes, and the more you explore, the more your curiosity is piqued.
The campaign’s slogan, “Iza Iza,” is derived from the word “Iza,” which has been used in “Manyoshu” and “Kojiki” to invite people to visit Nara. This reflects the campaign’s aim of asking people to come and explore Nara.
