The solo exhibition by Kazumasa Uchio, “Fantasy Art Master Kazumasa Uchio’s World Exhibition III-The Town Built on Dreams-” will be held at Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse No. 1 from Thursday, February 9, 2023, to Sunday, February 12.

Kazumasa Uchio is an artist with solid technique and power of expression called a master of fantasy art.

From 1999 to 2001, he was involved in map painting and concept art production for the movie “Final Fantasy,” From 2019 to 2020, he was involved in the concept design for the anime “Witch’s Journey.”

He has worked on concept art and character creation for numerous fantasy games held in a solo exhibition in Belgium and received acclaim in Japan and worldwide.

About 50 items, such as the concept art of the anime “Witch’s Journey,” will be exhibited.

In this solo exhibition, he will introduce about 20 works he has worked on as an illustrator, including original works, concept art for the anime “Witch’s Journey,” game map paintings, and background paintings.

In addition, about 30 prints that have been published since 2003 will be exhibited and sold.

New prints of the original picture story “Kitan Shirube” series

Of particular note is the new woodblock print of the original picture story “Kitan Shirube” series centered on “dragons” and “baby beasts” that are depicted as incarnations of the human heart, which will be exhibited for the first time. Mainly (Shinkokyuu), (Sougyounome) and (Yourennosou).
